Veron looks to have lost place to Aimar v Sweden

NARAHA, Japan, - Midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron looks to have lost his place in Argentina's World Cup team for their decisive group F match against Sweden on Wednesday.

Veron did not work out at Argentina's World Cup retreat with the first choice players. Pablo Aimar, who came on for him in the second half against England, was among them.

Veron, who has captained the Argentine team in their opening two matches, had a poor first half against England in the 1-0 defeat and was substituted at halftime.
