Batistuta, who also played for Italian club Fiorentina, plans further store openings for Milan, Rome, Paris, Madrid, London, Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile and Sao Paulo.

What they said about Maradona
FIFA, July 1, 2004

Gabriel Batistuta (record Argentine international goalscorer):
"Most ten-year-olds know nothing, but with Diego it was different. He grew up playing with older boys and they treated him the same. Diego had no choice in the matter. It was his destiny. They made him into a God. I still feel embarrassed whenever I read that I scored twice as many goals (54) as he did for Argentina."

The People Want to Know!
El Grafico July 1998

  • Why was Batistuta always isolated in his room without company at the training camp in Ezeiza?

  • Why were players such as Berti and Crespo taken to the WC when, as was seen in France, they were not in condition to play?

  • Why did Settimio Aloisio say (and many believe him) that if it were not for the reporters and fans, Batistuta would not have played in the WC?

  • Why did Passarella ignore the postive doping test [of Veron]?

  • Why did he say that the team was united when, in fact, there were players who couldn't stand each other?

  • Why weren't Passarella and Grondona [Pres. of AFA] truthful about their mutual distrust?

  • Why doesn't anyone like Simeone?

  • Why do Ortega, Crespo and Piojo Lopez hate Batistuta?

  • Why doesn't Passarella respond to these questions?

  • Why doesn't anyone respond?
