ENGLAND UNDER-21

Are due to play their European Under-21 Championship Play-Off against Yugoslavia at Barcelona's mini stadium on March 29. UEFA made a decision on Nov 2, that this game should be played as a single match at a neutral venue for security reasons. Initially they were due to play at Luxembourg's Josey Barthel stadium on Nov 14 but the game had to postponed due to the political situation in Yugoslavia.

England have scored in each of their last eight games (23 goals), conceding only seven. They have failed to score only once in their last 12 games, a 1-0 defeat by the Czech Republic at Portman Road in November 1998.

Four players in the U-21 squad are senior internationals - Frank Lampard (one cap), Jamie Carragher (one cap), Jonathon Woodgate (one cap) and Lee Hendrie (one cap). Lampard is the only one of those players to have played for the senior team this season, having made his debut in 2-1 friendly win v Belgium on Oct 9 at the Stadium of Light.

Of the 23 players in the squad - 21 play in the Premiership and two play in the First Division (Weaver at City and Naylor at Wolves) - although Man Utd's John Curtis is on loan at Barnsley until the end of the season.

Leeds are represented the most in the squad with six players.
